Children and Family Ministries

There are many opportunities at Immanuel for people to gather together, be empowered by the promises of God and to be sent out into the world as disciples of the living Christ. See below how people can grow in their walk of faith.

Children and Adult Sunday School

Immanuel offers Sunday School for all ages on Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. during September through April.   We offer age-appropriate activities for children.

Confirmation offered Wednesday evenings – begins in Fall 2023

Seventh and eighth graders of Immanuel meet on Wednesday evenings to learn how to put our Christian beliefs into action.  We don’t study “religion”.  We learn how to have a living relationship with the God who created and cares for us.

Vacation Bible School

Each summer, the Ceresco community churches come together to put on Vacation Bible School for the children and youth (Pre-Kindergarten thru 6th grade) of Ceresco and the surrounding community.  Vacation Bible School will be June 27-30, 2022 with a large fish fry and brat feed right after the closing VBS 6:30 p.m. program on June 30th, hosted by the Orphan Grain Train ministry of Norfolk, Nebraska.  The meal will be in Immanuel’s Fellowship Hall and outside.

Camp at Carol Joy Holling

We strongly believe in the importance of camping ministry at Immanuel. Camp Carol Joy Holling is our camp of choice. It is located in Ashland – a 30 minute drive from the church’s front door. The camp’s website is www.nlom.org. Check out their website for more information
